Medisafe helps you manage and take your medication on time with our first-of-its-kind cloud-synced mobile medication management platform. Medisafe allows your family, friends & caregivers to aid (if you so choose) by being alerted as to whether or not you took your medication.

The main reason is due to battery saving settings and cleaning apps like Clean Master, 360 Security, CM security, Fast Booster and other similar apps. While cleaning your device, these apps terminate Medisafe’s reminders and put your health at risk. You can read about tips for specific devices here.

The personal information you provide to us through your use of the Application is governed by our Privacy Policy. We respect your privacy, and a complete statement of our current privacy policy can be found on our website. We may update our policies and practices from time to time at our sole discretion.
Medisafe is a HIPAA and GDPR compliant solution and ISO 27001:2013 certified, which means we have put the most stringent security measures in place to protect your information. We use technical, contractual, administrative and physical measures in an effort to protect against unauthorized access. These include secure servers, SSL and encryption.

Medisafe complies with the MyPermissions Trust Certification Program Standards: MyPermissions
Medisafe doesn’t ask for any unneeded permissions. “Contacts List” – if you choose to add a Medfriend to sync to your meds, a list of contacts will appear for your convenience. Medisafe never stores your address book content and doesn’t access your address book without your permission. “Find accounts on the device” – used in push messaging. In case a family member forgets to take a medication, we will notify you via a push notification, offering the opportunity to intervene.

Medisafe strives to provide ‘information that you need, when you need it’ kind of experience on Android Wear. Notification cards will show up on your smartwatch when it’s time to take your medications – you don’t need to configure anything.
When it’s time to take a medication, the smartwatch will show a notification card with the medication information and actions that you can take (in parallel with the notification on the mobile device).
In addition, if the smartwatch’s screen happens to be on, at the time of your medication reminder (not the black/white screen), you will see a white screen with a ‘shake to take’ function – shake your wrist and the pill will be marked as taken!
Your pill reminders for today are synced with the smartwatch, so even if it is not connected to the phone you’ll see a reminder on the smartwatch.

Currently, Medisafe supports only Android Wear.

If you have an Android Wear, please follow these steps:

1. Open the ‘Android Wear’ app on your phone

2. Go to Settings and tap on ‘Resync apps’

3. Wait for a couple of moments for the apps to be resynced to your smartwatch

Medisafe now has in-app purchases that don’t affect the free version at all, but allow premium members to have unlimited access to Medfriends, measurements, dependents, no banner ads, change their theme colors and more.

Sure, but we are sorry to see you go! If you purchased it on the Google Play Store, you can cancel your premium subscription by going to the Google Play Store app on your device → Medisafe page, and cancel your subscription. On iPhone or Apple Watch, you can cancel your subscription by following the directions here: http://support.apple.com/en-il/HT202039.

Payment will be charged to your credit card through your Google Play or iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the subscription period. There is no increase in price when renewing. Subscriptions can be managed and auto-renew turned off in Account Settings after purchase.

Transfer:
After you tap in the app to transfer your meds, Truepill will contact your current pharmacy and have your meds transferred to our pharmacy service for fulfillment.
Co-Pay Check:
Once the transfer is approved, we will submit to your insurance to obtain your co-pay amount. This amount will appear in the app and you will be notified in advance when your med is available to be filled.
Order:
When you receive that notification, simply tap on it and you’ll be brought to the order screen to pay with a credit card. Delivery is usually 3 to 5 days.

Simply have your pharmacist call Truepill at 855-910-8606 and state they are a pharmacist calling for a verbal transfer. We do accept most coupons from pharma companies, simply email us at pharmacy@medisafe.com with a copy of it, or send the information, and we can check ahead of time to make sure. Unfortunately, we cannot honor coupons from retail pharmacy chains or neighborhood pharmacies.

We do not accept GoodRx coupons at this time.

Unfortunately we can not guarantee we will have the medication brand you want in stock and our procurement team does not fulfill unique brand requests this at this time.

In the event that you do not finish your prescription treatment, or have leftover medication, it must be disposed of carefully. Do not flush the pills down the toilet or put them in the garbage. Bring your medicine to any accredited pharmacy for disposal. For more information regarding the safe-disposal of unused medication, visit
this link.

Our pharmacy services partner Truepill is able to dispense compounded substances given they were created and shipped to us by a certified 503(b) compounding facility. We can then dispense in the quantity dictated by the patient’s prescription.

We do carry certain over-the-counter therapies as long as there is a prescription for them. Generally, for OTC items we can only send out preset quantities, so for example fexofenadine can come in quantities of 30 or 60. Feel free to check with us about a specific OTC availability anytime by emailing us at pharmacy@medisafe.com.

Yes. According to the FDA, all drugs, including brand name drugs and generic drugs, must work well and be safe. Generic drugs use the same active ingredients as their brand-name counterparts and therefore have the same risks and benefits. About half of all generic drugs are made by brand name companies.

Medisafe Pharmacy Service powered by Truepill safely disposes of any returned medication–it is never re-used.

Our team will alert you as quickly as we can. Unfortunately, most times we do not know a timeline when the medication will be back in stock. We will work with you, to find an alternative option–whether that be a different drug, a generic version, or transfer eRx off-site.

We have learned the best time to send a refill request is at least 5 business days before you need the medication. This gives us enough time to process the order, diagnose any issues with order, and still send out with First Class Service level. Furthermore, if we are processing insurance for a refill request, we will work with you to find the first day we are able to re-run the claim.

Even though this happens very infrequently, it is something that does occur. In the very extraordinary circumstances that a package is lost in transit, or stolen, Medisafe Pharmacy Service powered by Truepil will replace for free within reason. If we notice an unusual number of shipments, we reserve the right to amend this policy.

As a rule of thumb, medicine should never be stored for more than 1 year. Most medicine labels require a “Best-By” date. Medication should NEVER be used past the “Best-By” date. In the event that you do not finish your prescription treatment, or have leftover medication, it must be disposed of carefully. Do not flush the pills down the toilet or put them in the garbage. Bring your medicine to any accredited pharmacy for disposal. For more information regarding the safe-disposal of unused medication, visit this link.

In the event you need medication today, we will likely have to transfer the prescription to your local pharmacy of choice for immediate pickup. If you live in a same-day serviceable ZIP code, we will be able to fulfill the order and deliver same-day.

Regardless, this is a high-priority inquiry and this should be handled over the phone with your Customer Success Manager, or by calling the pharmacy at 650-353-5495.

In the event you have a reaction that seems serious or life-threatening—for example, if they have wheezing, tightness in the chest, fever, itching, bad cough, blue skin color, fits, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat—contact the nearest emergency room or call 911.
